Getting into the aesthetics field, for me, was a necessity. As a child my naturally beautiful mother (who was good at many things), was not good with makeup or hair or…anything beauty related. Since there was no one at home to teach me how to do the perfect smokey eye, (and this was before the beauty gurus had YouTube channels), I was left to figure things out for myself.
Never one to back away from a challenge, I ended up going to Mohawk College for Aesthetics. Launching me into the beauty industry! My mother became my model/guinea pig for my classes and crazy ideas. She loved this, since it gave her the opportunity to get her makeup done free and experience services she felt were out of her reach.
During my time in the field I realized a lot of women felt the same way my mother did.
Makeup was difficult and feeling beautiful was something only reserved for when you have the time to have someone else do it.
When I started doing lashes I realized how it could take the place of everyday makeup. I could enhance someones natural beauty in a way that they could feel glamorous everyday!
Realizing there was so much more to lash extensions than I was taught in one class, I went on to pursue further education, taking as many classes as I could find. I sought out the best classes taught by the best instructors. My interest led me to become an instructor myself with an international company. I focused on lash health and safety which I believe is the cornerstone of my lash philosophy. Without healthy natural lashes to lash, there is nothing to apply extensions to!
My pursuit of education has lead me to be a resource for my clients. I now have the opportunity to pass on that knowledge to you! I combine all my years in the field and education into a special experience for my client allowing me to live my passions for lashing and for teaching fully everyday.
